Amir H. Malek, P.E.

Amir Malek has almost a decade of engineering experience in Florida and Texas combined, and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. Amir is currently serving on the Exexutive Council of the Volusia County Association for Responsible Developement (VCARD), which runs out of the Daytona Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Amir is highly experienced in the Civil Engineering field and has been responsible for the design and permitting of numerous land improvements ranging from private and institutional Land Development projects to government Roadway and Drainage projects. His work history covers urban, sub-urban and rural development. Amir has a history of working for private developers in the fastest growing city in the US prior to the economic recession; as well as working for government entities as a consultant during the "cut the fat", post-economic bubble era. Amir's experiences have put him up against countless design, budgeting, scheduling, and general and environmental permitting challenges; leaving him well equipped to address the challenges that arise when improving land.

During his career, Amir was the project lead on two projects which have won awards for best management practices while working for an Engineering News Record (ENR) top 500 firm in Austin; the Austin Business Journal 2010 Best Multi-Family Project (Gables Park Plaza- Phase I) and 2009 Best Rehab/Development Project (Concordia University Texas Campus Relocation). Locally, he has served in the same capacity for the several high profile roadway and drainage projects in Volusia and Flagler County, and has been involved in numerous private developments and subdivisions.

Amir understands the details of what is necessary to be the Engineer of Record and Project Manager for any land improvement project. His expertise is a key asset to our company, as we hope it will be for yours.

Dr. Esmaiel Malek brings over three and a half decades of experience in the environmental field to the table. His research is unparalleled in his fields of expertise and his understanding of our ecosystem is rivaled by none. An author of numerous text books and scientific publications, Dr. Malek, a Certified Consultant Meteorologists (CCM) certified by the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and Board Member of the CCM, was a leading researcher in the understanding of Sustainable Development. Dr. Malek had also served as a University Professor for over 30 years both nationally and internationally, before moving to Florida, where his services are currently being obtained by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to teach as an Adjunct Professor.

During his career, Dr. Malek has consulted in the research and application of many environmental methods of sustainable development including regulation of saline wastewater for use in production of agricultural crops such as alfalfa and wheat, evaluation of energy and water balance components, harnessing of solar and wind energies, meteorological aspects of air pollution analysis. One of his textbooks is regarding the applicable use of rainwater for agricultural irrigation, a concept known today as Rainwater Harvesting. He has also served as the Assistant Utah State Climatologist, Interim Director of the Utah Climate Center, Associate Director of the Utah Climate Center, Member of the Board of Certified Consultant Meteorologists, etc.

Dr. Malek provides a level of knowledge which is quintessential in the task of responsible development. His insight provides valuable input regarding development methods that provide largely self-sustainable components; which not only saves the client money, but relieves the environment of unnecessary waste.
